Common questions

My course isn't in the app.

PocketCaddi loads courses from OpenStreetMap. If your course isn't mapped, email the course name and town and I'll try to add it. You can also map it yourself at openstreetmap.org and the app will pick it up next time it loads the course.

Distances look wrong.

The app uses your iPhone's GPS, which is accurate to a few metres on a good day. Check that Location is set to "While Using" (Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → PocketCaddi) and that you're not in airplane mode. If one course consistently reads wrong, let me know which one.

The app recommended the wrong club.

Open the caddie panel (tap the chips above the club) to see what the app was weighing: wind, lie, slope and your dispersion. Most "wrong club" moments come down to one of those being off. If the explanation itself looks wrong, that's a bug, so please send the hole, your yardage and what you expected.

How do I delete all my data?

Delete the app from your iPhone. Your bag, rounds, dispersion and settings are stored only on your phone, so uninstalling removes everything. See the app privacy policy for details.

Can I use it in competitions?

Yes. Turn on Competition Mode and set it to Strict. Club picks, live weather and slope read-outs are then hidden, so you stay within the Rules of Golf.

Can I get a refund?

PocketCaddi is free during the TestFlight beta. Once it's on the App Store, refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
