Golf caddie app for iPhone

Your caddie. In your pocket.

You know your 7 iron goes 145. You don't know what it goes uphill, into a cold breeze, out of the rough, with your fade. PocketCaddi does. It gives you the club a tour caddie would, built on your bag, your tendencies and the conditions in front of you.

No launch monitor. No coaching session. No guesswork.

How it works

Three steps. The third one is hitting it.

  1. Tell it your bag, once

How far each club flies: full, three-quarter, half and punch. It picks the right club from your very first shot.

  2. Open it on the course

Greens, bunkers, water, fairways and tees load automatically, and every distance is to a real target.

  3. Take the club it gives you

Already adjusted for wind, temperature, altitude, slope, your lie and your shot shape. If it still goes wrong, at least it wasn't the club.

In the app today

Everything a good caddie knows. Already working.

Course maps
Every hole, already mappedGreens, bunkers, water, fairways and tee boxes, with routing that knows which way each hole runs. Distances go to real targets, not a dropped pin.
Your bag
A caddie that knows your clubsFull, three-quarter, half and punch distances for every club, plus your shot shape, trajectory and skill level.
Conditions
Plays-like, not just yardageWind, temperature, altitude, slope and the rest of what moves a golf ball all feed into the number. Uphill into a cold breeze, 1,500 metres up? You'll see it.
Your lie
Knows where you're standingFairway, rough or bunker, worked out from your GPS. No more being told to hit driver out of deep rough.
Dispersion
See where your shots really goRecord a few range sessions and your left-right and short-long spread appears as an ellipse around every target. Aim away from trouble, not at it.
Course Planner
Plan the round before you play itMap out every hole shot by shot, with your dispersion on each one. Decide on the carry or the safe side before you get there.
Competition Mode
Off, Relaxed or StrictOne toggle for medal rounds. In Strict, club picks, live weather and slope read-outs disappear, so you stay within the Rules of Golf.
Round history
Every round, every shotScorecards and caddie breakdowns for every round. Open any shot and see exactly what the caddie was thinking.

Who it's for

One app, three kinds of golfer.

Weekend players

The confidence of a caddie without hiring one. Stand over the ball knowing it's the right club.

Improving golfers

See where your shots actually go, then plan around it instead of hoping.

Competitive players

All the help in practice and none of it on a card day. Competition Mode handles the switch.

Apple Watch · Coming next

Leave your phone in the bag.

The Watch app puts the essentials on your wrist and quietly learns from your swing while you play.

  • Front, middle and back of the green at a glance
  • A haptic tap when you line up at the wrong part of the fairway
  • One-tap score entry
  • A background swing counter that reviews your tempo and tendencies after the round

What's coming

The roadmap.

The caddie works today. Next, it learns your swing and starts coaching.

On your wrist

Watch
  • Apple Watch appGreen distances, hazard alerts, score entry and a swing counter, without touching your phone.
  • Swing trackingWe're already recording a research dataset with a Watch lab app: motion, tempo, impact. It becomes on-course swing speed, tempo and transition cues.

Through the camera

Camera
  • Camera lie detectionSnap your ball. It works out whether you're sitting up, nested or buried, and adjusts the advice.
  • AR green readerOn iPhones with LiDAR, scan the green and see the putt line drawn on it. Practice rounds only, because the Rules of Golf don't allow it in competition.

A smarter caddie

Caddie
  • CoachingNot just "you missed right" but "your transition's quick and you're flipping it at impact". A coach that remembers every shot you've hit.
  • Custom caddiesConservative, neutral or aggressive, or build your own: the ex-tour pro who tells you to be sensible, or the mate who always says go for it.

Questions

The short answers.

When does it launch?

When it's good enough that you'd trust it over your own guess. People on the early access list hear first and get in before the public release.

What do I need?

An iPhone. The Apple Watch app is coming next.

Do I need a launch monitor?

No. Tell it how far your clubs go and it works from the first shot. A few range sessions add your dispersion, so it knows where your shots really end up.

Can I use it in competitions?

Yes. Competition Mode has three settings: Off, Relaxed and Strict. In Strict, club picks, live weather and slope read-outs are hidden so you stay within the Rules of Golf.

Will my course be on it?

It works on any course with mapping data, which covers a lot of courses.

Is there an Android version?

iPhone comes first. Join the list and you'll hear about anything else.

How much will it cost?

Pricing will be announced before launch. Early access is free.

Who's behind it?

A golfer and engineer based in Zürich who got tired of guessing what the wind was doing.
